Help Wanted

Please contact us if you are interested in helping at Kate's Riding Centre or call 09 407 5026

Opportunity for Working Student
Kates Riding Centre is pleased to offer a residence for a committed working student.
We have an opportunity available for a talented and dedicated rider to learn under our guidance and methods using our holistic approach. You will compete alongside Kate and Tim at nationwide competitions.

Your position will include:
- schooling horses
- competing at events
- instructing our learners
- leading trekking groups
- carry out various jobs around the farm, as required.

Kates Riding Centre is a very busy facility and home holding 120 horses, three children and at least one Woofer. The hours may be long and the work hard but this is a fantastic opportunity to work and learn alongside two very talented and successful riders and take your riding career to the next step.

We offer training, lessons, entry to competitions and full board in exchange for a full week's work (seven days), with holidays, for the right person.

To enquire about this opportunity, please talk to Kate or Tim on 09 407 5026. Or email us for a full job description.

Helpers wanted!
We are seeking a farm-hand preferably with a love of horses to work for us in a 'Woofer' situation.
There is always plenty to be done at the centre so it is suitable for hard-workers! Catching, moving and feeding horses, mucking out, tacking up, all on a stunning farm full of horses. You'll pick up loads of tips and tricks and fall in love with too many horses whilst working alongside Maggie and Esther and Vicky.
We ask for a week of full day's work in exchange for food and accommodation. As it takes time to learn about our horses and systems we prefer helpers to stay for longer periods but we can be flexible. You will need to bring gumboots and wet weather gear to work in.

Experienced hoof trimmer required
Our darling Pete has been snatched by our German Woofer and has left us! We are looking for an experienced trimmer to join our team to help service the local area and beyond. We will train committed trimmers who want to perfect their work. Flexible working arrangements.
